Colour: Medium purple red.
Aroma: Lifted aromas of red and blue fruits with notes of graphite, menthol & eastern spice also swirling around . The oak is very much in the back ground playing a supporting role only.
Palate: Ripe blueberry and cherry flavours dominate the flavor spectrum while the mouthfeel is soft, rich and warm. Fine grained tannins and good acid help tie it all together to make a very complete wine.
Summary: A worthy example of a traditional Clare red that will appeal to many Grenache lovers. Try this with a hearty beef stew. Drink now or keep for 3-5 years.
